Wedding and Baptism Recap

Caroline was an angel for the wedding and the baptism! We arrived at the church for pictures at 3 PM and the wedding was at 6:30PM. Needless to say, we were nervous about keeping her happy for that long. Uncle George was our lifesaver when he found a rocker. She stayed asleep until right before the wedding in Nona's lap. She came down the aisle smiling and went back up the aisle asleep. She even had a great time at the reception! The photographers took a ton of pictures of her and I will post the link on the blog. Catherine was a beautiful bride and we know that she and Wesley are having a wonderful time right now in St. Martin.

After partying until midnight the night before, it was a lot of work getting ready for an 8:30 AM lakeside church service. It was worth the early alarm to have her baptised outside on the shores of Lake Lanier. Dr. Terry Walton, who married Alex and I, baptised Caroline. She had been asleep in Alex's lap until he handed her to Terry. I was sure she would wake up crying, but she simply opened her eyes and looked around. It was perfect!
Following the baptism, my mom hosted a wonderful brunch for the family. It was a great way to end a celebratory weekend.
