Caroline's Nana and Pa drove down to Austin Saturday before last.
We had lunch at Shoal Creek Saloon, a New Orleans bar. It's a great place for oyster po boys, gumbo and Mardi Gras crawfish boils.
We drove down to San Marcos to do some shopping and we had dinner in New Braunfels at the Gristmill. Nana taught Caroline how to drink out of a straw. She loved it! She also had her first restaurant meal, grilled cheese. Most of it ended up on the floor, but we think she really enjoyed it. I'm hoping that she's not going to start turning down my cooking.
